What food is causing your dark circles & under eye puffiness?

September 29, 2014

I’m sure it bothers you when you look in the mirror and see dark circles and under eye puffiness.  Along with you’re under eye creams and concealers, it is important to solve the issue that caused the under eye problems in the first place.

Of course sleep (or lack of sleep) plays a big role in the formation of dark circles and puffiness; and even genetics to a certain extent. But there is another more important reason for these issues.

Dark circles and bags under the eyes form when we have a particular food intolerance or allergy.  Not every allergy means skin rashes or difficulty breathing. Some allergies are very subtle and can affect us over the long-run.

So you might get headaches or digestive issues, and with time, dark circles and puffiness under the eyes.

What foods could be causing your under eye issues?

Most people get more prominent dark circles and puffiness when they eat wheat (pizza, pastries, bread, etc.) or dairy products (cheese, milk, yoghurt, etc.). And even in some cases they could come up after eating eggs or corn.

Try avoiding these foods for two weeks and see the difference.
