sun damageTo get complete skin protection this Summer, using sunscreen may not be enough.  Your eyes need protection as well. UV rays are not only harmful to your skin but can damage your eyes. Here are some tips that will help.

Quality sunglasses: It is important to purchase and wear only those sunglasses that offer 100% protection from UVA and UVB rays. This way your eyes will be protected and you can go out in the sun without having to squint.

Splash water: Your eyes are stressed throughout the day due to heat and exposure to the sun. Keep them safe by splashing cold water on them periodically and drinking a lot of water. This will keep your eyes from becoming dry or puffy.

Turn to nature: If you are suffering from puffy eyes and/or dark circles, apply slices of cucumber on your eye lids for 10 minutes before you sleep. Cucumber is cooling. It also helps remove tan from under the eyes and absorbs extra moisture.

Eye exercises: Eye exercises help reduce tiredness and improve the eye muscles. Eye exercising also helps with reducing both puffy eyes and dark circles.
